History of Agrasen Ki Baoli
Delhi is the capital of India and also the city of monuments built by different people in a different form in the ancient times. The number of monuments in Delhi can be counted on hands but the story and the history behind all the monuments cannot be stored and remembered forever in the minds of the people because the story behind all the construction is very big and difficult. Most the monuments in India are constructed by the great Mughal Emperors as Delhi was the second most important city for the Mughals after Agra as most of the journey of the Mughal Empire is completed in this city. In the beginning, the capital city of the Mughals was Delhi later on which got shifted to Agra.
Once the era of Mughals and rulers got over then the time came for the English men who were the Britishers. During this time, there were some other monuments built by them in their own advanced and modern style and they also maintained and renovated the old Mughal monuments. According to what we mentioned above, it can be clearly said that the emergence of Delhi is the result of Mughals and Britishers but there is a small addition to this list.
There is a monument in Delhi which is situated near the Connaught Place and Jantar Mantar was constructed by the legendary king Agrasen. Even on the later stage of the 14th century, it was rebuilt but not the by the English men but by the Agrawal community. The Agrawal community was too famous at that time of history and even it has a very important place in Indian society.
If we talk about different monuments built by the Mughals then something is common in all that is the construction of almost all the monuments is similar. The most common similarity is the tomb which every monument has and big rooms which can accumulate around a hundred peoples at one time. In this context, the construction of Agrasen of Baoli is very different. The person would not find and tomb or rooms in this monument.
